Christopher Guy New Lighting collection

As mentioned before I am a big fan of Christopher Guy so it's no surprise that I love his new lighting collection for Autumn/Winter 2010. The classic contemporary designs feature a selection of scultural wooden lamps and wall lights that have been carved from solid wood and hand finished in a range of metallic and lacquer finishes. They just add instant style to any space and emanate such timeless beauty.

Here are a selection of some of my favourites.

Doris Riachy

I'm a big fan of art in all forms and I love discovering new talent. I recently came across this very talented Artist and I was blown away by her work. She does the most amazing abstracts, so bold and bright that I find them very enchanting. I absolutely love the large scale canvases, bold brush strokes, vibrant colours and textured surfaces she uses.

The Artist in question is Doris Riachy, born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, she lived in Paris for several years before moving to England in 1979. She now lives with her family and works in Central London.

Here is something bright and cheerful to get you through the day. I hope you like them as much as I did!

Vintage + Contemporary

Browsing through on one of my favourite on-line resources I was immediately drawn by these interiors. The whole soft colour scheme really did it for me and its usage of vintage pieces mixed in with contemporary designs. Not to mention the distressed wooden flooring used which I find so appealing and gives it that rustic edginess.

There is just something about white/grey interiors that just does it for me, especially when splashed with a hint of blue, then I am in heaven.

Today I feel totally inspired with these images, hope you do to!

Kate Spade's Pop Up Shop

Sunday I managed to finally go the Kate Spade pop up shop in convent Garden. I am so excited that she has finally arrived to the UK, well not for long but she will be making a permanent return in spring 2011. For now its just some teasing on all the exciting stuff that is to come next year. I love this concept store that represent how Kate Spade's house would look like if she lived in London. Result? Amazingly cool with so much attention to detail it is utterly bright and fabulous.

My husband like most men usually hates shopping with me but for once he actually enjoyed himself. it was really fun and it just felt like popping by to someone's house party who just happens to have exceptionally great taste. To add to the fun there was also a photo booth which we took photos as a little souvenir to take with us.

If you are around or you haven't heard of Kate Spade, then I urge you to pop by the to the store which is open until November 10th. It really is so much fun and you will love all the exciting accessories and furniture pieces.

It's such a shame spring seems so far away...

Kelly Hoppen's Iphone Application

Kelly Hoppen's Iphone/Ipad application is finally here! After long anticipation and excitement I quickly downloaded 'Home Style' early today and I can simply say it didn't disappoint. Stylishly designed, simple to use it really gives you all the styling tips one needs to get you started.

This handy little tool covers styling tips for bedrooms, dining tables, kitchens and my absolute favourite, shelves which can always cause a bit of a problem on the styling front. The results? Very stylish and very Kelly Hoppen!

Not only does it help you with all your styling needs but what I really like about this is that you really get a real insight into Kelly's world. There are lots of videos where she shares her tips and inspirations which is always nice when your favourite designer opens up and lets you in on a few words of wisdom.

Full of great images, videos and text it is packed with great inspiring ideas. Its the perfect little styling book that you can carry with you. I highly recommend it as it is great for design enthusiasts like myself or anyone wanting to get started when decorating a space but need that extra push.

A favourite styling tip? Definitely the shelving & table styling and I love the 'plum indulgence' table setting, very stylish and sexy!

Zagazoo By Quentin Blake

I have always been a fan of Quentin Blake’s illustration and writing so it was no surprise how excited I was when his collaboration with Osborne and Little was released this Summer. The collection is called Zagazoo and it is just delightful. With a series of five wallpaper designs and six fabric prints in several colourways, they are simply just fun!

A feeling of nostalgia erupts when I see these prints as all the memories of Quentin's cheeky characters from Roald Dahl's books pop to mind. From The BFG, Matilda, The Witches, and so many more, they bring back fond memories. I love his quirkiness, perfect for children and for adults that reminiscent the fond memories of their childhood days and bring that sense of comfort and fun.

My Wish List: All Things Bright & Beautiful

Good Morning all from a very cold and miserable London. I hope you had a fantastic weekend, mine consisted of great food, great company and of course the Xfactor :) Today I need some cheering up so to brighten up my day and hopefully yours here is my wish list of all things bright and beautiful. I hope they will inject some colour into your life ;)

I absolutely love this 'Digit' rug from Cristian Zuzunaga for Nanimarquina. It is just so colourful and random. Available at the Conran Shop.

How retro and cool are these turquoise vinyl Chairs by Talisman? They really are stylishly chic, I am loving them!

This lavish sofa from John Jenkins just looks so cosy. I can definitely imagine myself curling up on this sofa and the colour is a statement. Available from Heals.

How cute and fun are these Japanese masking tapes? So many bright colours and patterns to choose from. Makes packaging so much more fun. From Papermash.

Love this bright butterfly patterned cushion, so cute from the Conran shop. What's even better is that you can get an exclusive 15% discount now available from the Conran Shop or from Mydeco.

Sophisticated but quirky table lamps from Graham & Brown.

One of my favourite finds are these Papier Mache Christmas Baubles from Niki Jones. I'm a sucker for pink :)
